Our Class Colours
To make it easy to find classes suitable for your budding dancer we have categorised our groups by colour.
Baby Pink - Age 2-5yrs
Lilac - School years 1-3
Purple - School years 4-6
Fushia - School years 7-9
Silver - School years 10+
Pointe those toes
Here at KDS Miss Keely-Anna is a fully qualified Royal Academy of Dance Teacher and all graded classes follow the RAD syllabus.
Minimum age to begin graded work is six years old.
Children will gain fundamental ballet technique.
Confidence will grow.
A passion for performance will be nurtured.
With ballet fundamentals in place children will be able to apply their skills in to all other dance styles, complimenting contempory and AcroDance especially.
Students have the opportunity to participate in examinations to gain extra credit for their hardwork.

Through those toes
Demi-Pointe work is the perfect class for those wanting to gain strength and muscle memory in preparation for pointe work.
All students taking graded ballet classes three and above are required to take Demi-Pointe Work.
Students will work on ankle, knee and hip strength as well as strength of the intrinsic and metatarsal muscles in the feet.
Equipment such as pilates balls, therabands and the bosu ball are used to enhance training.
Own the Stage
Our annual performances are the most loved aspect of our school. Students love to perform on the big stage.
Our performance work classes work on ballet pieces for our upcoming showcase giving students a chance to apply all their training in to a performance they will never forget!
No Pain, No Gain
PBT stands for Progressing Ballet Technique, an innotative program designed to enhance strength and flexibility specifically for dancers.
Train using Fitballs, Pilates balls, Therabands and Resistance bands.
Encourage muscle memory.
All students who attend graded ballet classes one and above must attend the PBT classes.
Students who attend other dance styles are always welcome to join PBT too!
The dream shoes
Pointe shoes are the ulitmate goal for every ballerina. Here at KDS we take safety extremely seriously, NO student will be permitted to do Pointe Work until sufficient strength is gained.
Pointe work is incorporated in to the graded ballet classes.
Gain strength in the intrinsic and metatarsal muscles in the feet.
Opportunity to demonstrate new skills during our staged performances.
